"Understanding the impact of Turbulence in Core-Collapse Supernovae "

Abstract:

The ISEE Professional Development Program (PDP) has been working with early career STEM professionals–primarily graduate students and postdocs–to effectively teach, mentor, and collaborate for over twenty years. The participants of the PDP have created and are members of a community in STEM that empowers participants to foster a STEM culture that values broader participation, authentic practices, and meaningful collaboration. Participants attend a 1-week workshop and work with teammates to design, facilitate, and evaluate inquiry-based science activities that they will then implement in undergraduate courses, workshops, or summer programs. Participants often return to lead teams and learn more about the connection between science, education research and practice and to strengthen their connections in the PDP community.
