"The Advanced Technology Solar Telescope: Probing the Nature of Solar Magnetism"

A Pretty Image from the Talk

Abstract:

A discussion of the ATST (Advanced Technology Solar Telescope) which was recently approved by NSF for construction later this decade on Haleakala (Maui, Hawaii). The ATST science case includes high-precision studies of solar magnetism: photospheric, chromospheric, and coronal. We will discuss the anticipated capabilities and examples of their scientific motivation.
